Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote form needs only six pieces of information: age, gender, coverage amount, term length, your health status in everyday language, and whether you use tobacco. These are sufficient for carriers to return rates. Your name, location and detailed health information are collected only if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The amounts you see are what the carriers quote for the health class you selected. They are estimates only. Your actual premium is determined after underwriting, when the carrier may confirm, improve or lower the class. Nothing here serves as an insurance offer or price guarantee.

What happens when I click Apply?

You move into a protected application that still shows your answers from the quote. You can pause and resume whenever you want. Signing happens electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages the whole application.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier you choose, the amount you request and your answers. Many carriers now have programs that skip the exam for applicants who meet their criteria; if you do need one, each quote tells you whether an exam is required, might be required, or isn't required for that plan.

Is a longer term better?

The right term covers the period when losing your income would hurt your family or business: a mortgage you're paying, children still at home, a loan secured by the business. Longer terms mean higher monthly costs but lock in your rate for more years. The quote tool shows 10 to 30 years so you can compare.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not gather any contact information. We do not share, sell or trade visitor data, and we don't use cookies. Read the privacy page for the complete picture of what gets collected and who has access to it.
